AXIOM™ — Certified Structural Housing System The engineered foundation of independence.

Is This Legal? Can I Actually Build It? Will My Council Approve It?

Yes. Yes. And yes.

AXIOM™ is a fully certified, RPEQ-stamped structural steel product that meets the National Construction Code (NCC), AS/NZS 1170.2, and AS/NZS 4600, with C3 high-cyclonic wind rating. It’s not experimental—it’s proven, permanent, and nationally recognised under mutual recognition laws.

Engineering Firm: Postma Consultants Pty Ltd Engineer of Record: Jan Postma, MSc, RPEQ No. 14725 Project Reference: P24073 Certification Date: 09-05-2025 Drawing Set Date: 30-05-2025

What Makes AXIOM™ Different?

Traditional construction is slow, expensive, and unpredictable. AXIOM™ turns it into a certified product—engineered once, proven once, manufactured with absolute repeatability.

Who AXIOM™ Is For

Off-Grid, Rural & Difficult Sites

AXIOM™ is well suited to off-grid and regional builds, including sloping land, bushfire or flood-prone areas, and remote locations.
Pier and screw-pile foundations minimise earthworks, reduce site disturbance, and allow faster setup where conventional slabs are costly or impractical.

Owner-Builders & Practical DIY

AXIOM™ is a flat-packed, CNC-cut structural steel system designed for straightforward on-site assembly.
Competent owner-builders and handymen can complete the build, with licensed trades engaged only where legally required (electrical, plumbing, services).

You don’t need a full construction crew — just clear plans and practical skills.

Installers, Builders & Trade Professionals

AXIOM™ provides a repeatable, engineered structure that removes guesswork from framing and compliance.
Pre-engineered components, consistent tolerances, and clear documentation allow faster installs, predictable outcomes, and easy scaling across multiple builds.

This is a system you can deliver confidently to clients.

Investors, Developers & Small Syndicates

AXIOM™ offers a certified, repeatable housing structure suitable for rentals, worker accommodation, land-lease communities, and regional developments.
Third-party engineering, council-ready documentation, and a nationally recognised C3 wind rating support smoother approvals and reliable deployment.

Why AXIOM™ Is Different

AXIOM™ is not an experimental tiny home or a lifestyle product.
It is a certified structural housing system, engineered once and built repeatedly to meet Australian standards.

AXIOM™ is for people who want to build properly — without unnecessary complexity.

Why the Gothic Arch? (Not a Cheaper Box)

Most competitors use rectangular boxes for cheap production—but that sacrifices strength, comfort, and usability.

We chose the obtuse/gothic pointed arch because it outperforms flat designs in real ways:

Superior Structural Efficiency & Strength The pointed arch carries loads mainly through compression (forces push down/outward naturally), reducing bending/shear compared to beams. This enables wider spans with less material and aligns perfectly with C3 cyclonic rating—curved forms distribute wind pressures more evenly, minimising sharp-edge peaks that plague box structures.

Enhanced Liveability & Wellbeing Environmental psychology research shows people prefer curved/contoured interiors—they feel more pleasant, approachable, and less threatening than sharp angles. Curved spaces reduce visual “busyness,” create calmer, continuous feel, and support lower stress responses (e.g., higher positive affect/relaxation in studies comparing curved vs rectangular rooms).

Everyday benefits: Less “boxed-in” feel, better airflow/light, reduced flutter echo (common in parallel-wall rectangles), and openness that makes the space feel larger/welcoming—great for wellbeing in compact homes.

Practical Furniture & Layout Freedom Many arch homes curve/sloping walls right to the floor, restricting standard furniture (beds/sofas/cabinets won’t sit flush, leaving gaps or needing custom pieces).

We fixed this: The arch curve springs (begins curving) exactly at the habitable minimum ceiling height of 2.4m (2400mm) above floor level, as specified in certified drawings (SD6 geometric set-out and sections). This creates straight vertical walls from ground to full 2.4m height (using 75x75x5 RHS posts and knee braces), so you place king beds, full-height wardrobes, kitchen units, or any standard furniture flush against walls—no awkward gaps or compromises. The arch’s elegant rise, airflow, and strength start precisely above this usable zone.

This is human-centred engineering: Competitors save on simplicity; we invest in a home that feels better, performs better, and lasts longer.
