We chose the obtuse/gothic pointed arch because it outperforms flat designs in real ways:

This enables wider spans with less material and aligns perfectly with C3 cyclonic rating—curved forms distribute wind pressures more evenly, minimising sharp-edge peaks that plague box structures.

We fixed this: The arch curve springs (begins curving) exactly at the habitable minimum ceiling height of 2.4m (2400mm) above floor level, as specified in certified drawings (SD6 geometric set-out and sections). This creates straight vertical walls from ground to full 2.4m height (using 75x75x5 RHS posts and knee braces), so you place king beds, full-height wardrobes, kitchen units, or any standard furniture flush against walls—no awkward gaps or compromises. The arch’s elegant rise, airflow, and strength start precisely above this usable zone.
